Mike McVicar is an independent graphic designer, art director, and typophile living in Brooklyn, NY.

Hailing from the great state of Florida, I spent most of my childhood building forts and collecting some awesome pocket knife scars. There’s no manual for those things. My grandpa owned a small engine repair shop that my brothers and I worked in from an early age, teaching us the importance of a little elbow grease.
These days, I still use that elbow grease working in my studio in Brooklyn developing brands and busting out beautifully kerned type. I’ve had some incredible opportunities since graduating from the University of Florida, working for some of the biggest brands in the world (and some even-cooler tiny ones!).
I specialize in packaging, and brand identity, but I a have passion for crafting all aspect of a brand from the bézier curves to their website.
