Inadvertently explored Greenpoint this weekend and found some sweet sign and work truck type!

Yo! Check out my whip! My SUPER DUPER WHIP!

Not in Greenpoint but still some cool neon!

This gas truck also had the same type HUGE on the side of it, but I couldn’t get a good shot. Love the two tone drop shadow, and there was amazing pin striping details on the letter shadows that you can’t quite see here.

“Popular” for a reason!

It’s the Society Promotions “Halloween” show! Beast in Show is opening October 30th at The Exchange in Gainesville. The show will feature art by Robert Evans, Ricky Kendall, Evan Mcintyre, Josh Pusey, and myself. All pieces will be the artist’s interpretation of creatures, monsters, and beasts found in The Bible. I will have a couple piece in it; the beast from the earth, and the beast from the sea found in Revelation. Really interesting and uncommon material is sure to come out of this so stay tuned! I’m going to try and make it to the opening, but that’s still up in the air. Check out the poster:

Nine artists are revisiting an art tradition dating back to 300 a.d.

In days when religious pilgrimages abounded, artist would do their renderings of the scenes of the cross in paintings and sculpture for those that could not make the journey. These became known as the Stations of The Cross.

“14″ revisits this ancient tradition, but with a modern twist. The artists were asked to do their unique response to their given scene. No other guidelines placed on them, whether in style, subject or medium. The result is a powerful mosaic of individual expressions united by a single greater theme.

It is definitely something you want to see and possibly, experience.

DAY 2
We are staying in Felippe Carrillo Puerto in the Yucantan Peninsula, Mexico.

Breakfast in the courtyard of our hotel. Charging up for a long day of work

About 2 hours south of Carrillo Puerto we went to the Organic farm of Gualberto (on the right). A truly innovative and inspiring man. He went back to school to learn how to farm organically so that he could be a leader in his community and encourage entrepreneurial endeavors to keep jobs local.

He showed us some of the many vegetable and herbs that he grows

Oregano I believe

Magic fruit

One of the three types of basil be grows

basil again

Los Tomatoes

Purple Basil

Mico Tunel that he uses to cultivate plants. Protects them from heavy rain and insects… and it looks cool!

A type of lettuce

We were put to work harvesting beets.
